Our family roots are from the ancient historic quarters of the Sassi of MATERA.
The Sassi of MATERA is recognized as a World Heritage Site, for its phisical evidence showing a continuation of human habitat from the cave ages and over the centuries.
Matera is home of the best rustic bread in the world.
We bake the Matera style bread following our mother's recipe.
This crusty and rustic/crunchy bread is as good as our Mother used to make for the all family, when we lived in the Sassi di Matera (Sasso Barisano area).
We bake this bread on the following days:
